Accessibility
Statement.
Our commitment to an accessible website for all visitors, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and recognized international standards.
Accessible to everyone.
Crowley Tech is committed to making crowleytech.com usable and accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We continually work to align the Site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the international standard for digital accessibility.
1. Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 is widely recognized — including by the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — as a benchmark for accessible digital design.
2. Measures We Take
To make this Site as accessible as possible, we:
- Design with semantic HTML and meaningful heading structure so content is navigable by screen readers;
- Provide descriptive alternative text for informative images;
- Maintain sufficient color-contrast ratios between text and background;
- Support keyboard navigation throughout the Site, including forms and menus;
- Size text in relative units so users can zoom or reflow content in their browser;
- Label form fields with programmatic associations for assistive technology;
- Respect user preferences for reduced motion;
- Test updates against modern screen readers and keyboard-only navigation during development.
3. Accessibility Features
The Site is designed to support:
- Screen readers — including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack;
- Keyboard-only navigation — every interactive element is reachable via Tab;
- Browser zoom — text remains legible at up to 200% zoom;
- High-contrast modes — brand colors meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast minimums for body copy;
- Reduced-motion preferences — decorative animations are suppressed when the operating system requests it.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some portions of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Some older imagery or biographical photography may lack fully descriptive alternative text pending review;
- PDF documents linked from the Site may not always meet the same accessibility standard as the HTML pages that link to them;
- Third-party embedded content (see below) may not match our internal accessibility standards.
We treat these gaps as active work and continue to remediate them.
5. Third-Party Content
The Site may link to, or embed content from, third parties — including our portfolio companies and external services. We do not control the accessibility of third-party content, but we select vendors and partners with accessibility in mind wherever possible.
6. Compatibility with Assistive Technology
The Site is designed to be compatible with recent versions of the following browsers and assistive tools:
- Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge — current and one prior major release;
- NVDA and JAWS on Windows;
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS;
- TalkBack on Android.
If you are using a combination that is not working well for you, please let us know — see “Feedback & Assistance” below.
7. Feedback & Assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Site, or if you need information from the Site provided in an alternative format, we want to hear from you.
Email: [email protected]
Please include the page URL, a description of the barrier, and the assistive technology or browser you were using.
8. Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with the response to your feedback, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, or with the applicable regulatory body in your jurisdiction.
9. An Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the Site regularly, incorporate feedback from users, and update content and code as standards evolve. This statement will be updated to reflect our progress and any material changes in scope or conformance.
